Back to the Table

Artistic reflections on the time we live in

Back to the Table is a social-relational dialogue program consisting of a gathering around the table in the Canteen at Dikemark. Artists from various artistic fields meet around an eight-meter-long table. The table was constructed by Jannik Abel using recycled materials from many different art projects and institutions.

The format of the conversation is that everyone sits around the long table and talks about what we believe is important. The things that MUST be talked about. Everyone is invited to the conversation, and some are invited to initiate it. The goal is that those who are present will leave with some tools for action. In our time, forces must come together.

Back to the Table was first held at Kunstnernes Hus during Jannik Abel’s exhibition Back to the Land.
